What does a QA Engineer actually do?

Soo a lot of people ask me what does a QA Engineer actually do ? Is it just about finding bugs? I mean yeah, kind of ... but it’s way more than that. A QA Engineer is basically the person who makes sure everything in a software, app, or website works the way it’s supposed to . You act like the end user, you click the buttons, try out the features, break things on purpose just to make sure the real users don’t have to deal with that mess later. If something crashes, looks weird, or just feels off, you’re the one who catches it before it embarrasses the company. So, yeah, it’s a pretty important role. And no you don’t have to be a hardcore coder. But knowing a bit of code definitely helps. You might write test scripts, use automation tools, or even suggest how to improve a feature based on what you see.
